long time no write

really tired today. my parents have got more energy than me.

we went to the lower pierce reservoir, hoping to find our way to the famous suspension bridge. but no, we were on the wrong side of the nature reserve, and decided not to go find the bridge after all. then we walked on a wooden trail (栈道)which sloped up at some parts and down at others. it was a brisk walk, with steps along some of the way. piangz....we walked non stop for 40 mins (very briskly!) then finally returned to the car. wah lao. want to die already.....

then we had dinner at the maxwell mkt. i had the nice fish meat beehoon soup! yummy! =D although i was bursting full, i still dabaoed mutton soup for supper hehehhe....=P

next, we walked thru the chinatown streets and looked at all the "red-meat thailand" pomelos. they are supposed to be a good breed. there were a couple of stalls selling mooncakes very cheaply, abt half price of the normal ones, but they were "branded" ones too. my dad said that these are prob fakes, as the established brands like 大中国 and 大同 would not compromise on the price even on the eve of mid autumn. i see!

there were a few stalls selling healthy wheatgrass juice. one was outstandingly expensive, $2.50 per cup, compared to the others selling $1.50 per bottle. but his style is really unique. the rest just displayed bottles of green stuff in styrofoam boxes filled with ice blocks and water, but he displayed a few trays of growing wheatgrass. in the centre of his stall was a prominently placed blender. he put a bunch of wheatgrass in, then added ice and water. an angmoh was videoing the whole process - i assume he was buying the drink. hmm....if his drink wasnt so ex,i'd bought from him. at least u know it's fresh, and it's being done right in front of u. i think he will strike it rich one day....

besides buying mooncakes, we also had another task - to buy new clothes for the baby. yup, 6 wks old zephan is outgrowing his 0-6 mths clothes. clutching a sample of his current shirt, we browsed at a few shops but could find nothing suitable. well, looks like we have to go back to a particular shop in hougang to buy.

by this time, i was totally exhausted already. luckily my parents felt the same (finally!) and we headed home. =P

yay now wait for my fish meat beehoon to be digested, and then i can heat up my mutton SOUP!
